Episode 90 Florian Meindl (Trapez) Trapez 100 Celebration

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2449113.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />in celebration of the Trapez 100 Release.... we are proud to present a 4 part series leading us through the new year. Today... please welcome back to NOICE! the Legendary Florian Meindl..

Florian Meindl is a DJ, producer and sound designer. In addition to numerous collaborations with international artists he is busy with writing soundtracks for movies, advertisings, producing remixes (currently for Röyksopp & Hot Chip) and has just successfully completed his BA studies at the London College of Music. He also writes articles about music production in magazines like “FutureMusic” and does music production shows for the “Berlin Mitte Institut”. Till now his productions have been released on labels such as Trapez, Stil vor Talent, Resopal, Herzblut and Kling Klong. The 17th and current release on his own label FLASH Recordings is in production; this serves as a platform for continuous development and promises many unheard sound creations from Meindl’s universe.

If you ask the 24 year old musician about the origin of his exceptional career, he will describe it as an “early identification with electronic music” which occurred in a small village in beautiful Upper Austria. He sees himself as an artist who is passing this message on to a new generation.
The collaboration with Oliver Koletzki, founder and owner of Stil vor Talent, was certainly an important milestone. Both generated trend-setting productions from which some of the current club tunes and hits emerged. Meindl’s Solo E.P. “Sputnik” is his standard release, one of the essentials of a new minimal style, as is “Blast” which has just been remixed by Format:B for the100th release on Trapez. All in all, Meindl has released more than 100 tracks in very different genres during the course of his young musical development.
After prolonged stays in London Meindl, having adopted Berlin as his home, finally made to move to Berlin in 2009. Here he found the stage for further developing his music. From his new home-base he tours the world’s top clubs, because apart from the exceptional variety of his very own musical style both in music production and composition, he is known more than anything else for his precision in creating driving and diversified DJ sets. Closely following the present development, this demanding representative of the next generation of electronic music is presently focussing on the expansion of his international work. However, Meindl still finds the time to present his original and unique sound branding to a curious party crowd which is rapidly developing into a loyal community of fans.
In addition to his continuous touring and label work he also produces a sound design in the form of audio samples under the name “Riemann Kollektion” which has already taken its place in the standards of modern musical development. When one experiences the modest authority of this sound artist in the sometimes slightly morbid and fast moving scenario of today’s club music, one can look forward to the continued development of electronic music. Florian Meindl is certainly one of the most interesting representatives of the next generation of electronic music producers.

Episode 88 BlackIsBeautiful (VRSTCK/200/DE)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2413303.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />we at NOICE! always try and search out the most creative and forward thinking DJ's of our time. not always the DJ top 100, but always quality Electronic music. this set is no different. we are proud to present:

BlackIsBeautiful

Enjoy

An analogue idea within the digital age!

Ümit Han and Tim Dicke simply have one goal on the postmodern playground of electronic music art: black sound. Dirty, criminal and unconventional – and brutally honest at the same time.

Their deep connection to analogue art can be heard and experienced in their musical creations and their live performances. Inspired by machines’ aesthetics, they create polymorph sound syntheses coming from current sources. Noise-friendly sound fragments. Tension-steered, loaded with energy, attracting gravity. The foundation hides sizzling and scraping sounds of the technically versed music machines. Electrosphere!

Blackisbeautiful pull their musical approach out of honest chance. Lively, unpredictable, unreproducible. Ideas can be found in – as they call it – opportunistic vanguard. Occasional field recording and sampling in exactly this or another moment. Real-time art powered by childlike curiosity and an esoteric desire to experiment.

Self-confident simplicity and collective spontaneity cross their monochrome sound worlds and hypnotically lead from momentary fascination into the eternal moment. Colourful moments within black melodies!

The colour black – which is not really considered to be a real colour
brings true colours to bear.
In this process they fully unfold their splendour and beauty
like a butterfly.
Black is not colourful – but black creates colour.
Such as in music.
As black is beautiful.

Episode 87 Clint Stewart (Auralism)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2392094.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />our final podcast of the Blue Collar series comes your way via Clint Stewart.

Clint grew up in a home surrounded by music from classic rock, early blues, to
classical. He began training in classical piano and guitar. Over time his adolescent
obsession with punk's passion and aggression led to a college-age awakening to
techno's dark, relentless groove. A stint on UNF College Radio Station gave him the
opportunity to start Nocturnal Underground radio show where he met Marc Smith.
After college, Stewart moved to Miami and eventually joined forces with Auralism
co-founders Smith and Jason Short and began playing along with them at their
residency at Jazid. Within the year, Stewart moved to Hawaii for a brief "get away",
but was soon living in San Francisco after a gig in which he never stepped foot on
his return flight.
In just over two short years Clint has been rabidly carving his niche in the bay area
emerging techno scene. The assistant label manager/designer first made waves with
his breakout performance at 2007's Lovefest wowing the crowd of thousands. Since
joining the Auralism camp he has continued to build a name for himself and
winning fans every step of the way. He has shared the decks with the likes of Pan
Pot, Marc Schneider, Justin Maxwell, Sammy Dee, Exercise One, Franklin De
Costa, [a]pendics.shuffle, Stewart Walker, Bruno Pronsato, Falko Brockseiper, Sety,
& Shaun Reeves.
Never one to be defined by genres or trends Stewart easily commands crowds with
a style that drips with intensity, filled w/ sexy, gauzy cuts that exhort everyone to
dance. Aside from DJ'ing in of some of the best clubs in cities like Los Angeles,
Miami, New York, Seattle, Portland, Detroit, Honolulu and beyond. His
discography continues to grow. In 2008 he produced pair of ecstatic remixes for
the label's inaugural Aural Therapy 1.1 compilation. The new year will deliver a
string of remixes on fellow cohort Alland Byallo's label Nightlight Music already
receiving buzz from Chris Fortier, Claude Von Stroke, & Habersham. As if this
weren't enough the summer holds a mini tour of Europe, including a date at

<itunes:summary>our final podcast of the Blue Collar series comes your way via Clint Stewart.

As if this
weren't enough the summer holds a mini tour of Europe, including a date at
Watergate. Be sure to keep your eyes on Stewart!

Episode 86 Zombie Disco Squad (Made to Play, dirtybird)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2362873.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />Ahhh yes... Part 4 of our wonderful 6 part series from Blue Collar Entertainment. Today.. we are proud to bring you the very Gifted musical Talents of the famed... Zombie Disco Squad:

ʻOne of the most exciting prospects of 2009ʼ – Jesse Rose

Lucas Hunter & Nat Self are ʻZombie Disco Squadʼ the multi-talented production duo that are taking house music in a new direction. Taking influences from Balie Funk, African rhythms, Baltimore, Hip-Hop, the so-called fidget sound and making it sound fresh. You wonʼt find any cheesy gimmicks in their records but what you will find are tracks played by some of the most influential DJʼs and clubs around the globe.

Zombie Disco Squad started life in 2006 after putting on nights around Londonʼs pivotal venues such as the The Social and Catch. They made their name with regular mixtapes, which toured the globe via the internet and had a string of internet ʻhitsʼ (10,000 downloads for the track ʻStraight Boyʼ). Influenced by African percussion, foreign languages and jacking music Lucas & Nat were soon traveling around the world touring the states and across Europe. They had touched down in clubs such as Fabric in London, Panorama Bar in Berlin and Hive in Zurich before even having one official single release. Their remixes, on the other hand, have had plays by Radio 1ʼs Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Zane Lowe to name a few.

The boys have already picked up support from across the board with Jesse Rose signing them exclusively to his Made to Play label but not before one Mr Claude VonStroke stepped in for a single on DirtyBird.
2009 is looking like their breakthrough year with a residency at Panorama Bar in Berlin, tours with Made to Play, releases on Daniel Haaksmanʼs Man Recordings, dirtybird, Made to Play and a production sound that is second to non. If you donʼt know, get to know… you have been warned!

Episode 85 Riva Starr (dirtybird, Made to Play)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2349208.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />here we go... continuing our Series with the Blue Collar entertainment artists. today... we are proud to bring you the one and only Riva Starr. sit back and enjoy this terrific mix from one of Dance Music's elite.

Every once in a while a new producer just smashes their way through into the bigtime. That's what's happening with Riva Starr's sneak-in-and-blow-the-place-up approach. An act whose influence comes from blogs, wild afterparties, music that works for the kids as well as the cool ubercoolische europeans, Riva seems to have sprung onto the scene fully formed - but in reality he's been working his arse off for years.
Riva Starr plunders the best in tech house and beeping, burping synth lines to create a dirty, messy dancefloor affair. His first appearance on Jesse Rose's ubercool Frontroom label with the Thizzle EP led to a release on Claude Vonstroke's pivotal Dirtybird label with the WTF?! EP - described by IDJ as "essential - 5/5". Then there were two releases in quick succession on Southern Fried - a remix of Armand van Helden's smash J'Taime, and his own EP, Scratch'n'Itch, which had raves from a stupidly wide variety of DJs...
And the gigs have kept apace. Just in the last months there's been a China tour, Glastonbury, Glade and Fusion Festivals, two slots at the Winter Music Conference - the Dirtybird party and a huge Lot49 event – an Australian and US tour on the pipeline and definitely more to come... <br />A single mix offered to the influential Discobelle blog was downloaded TWELVE THOUSAND times, and a sneaky download of a DJ edit of La Conga, his followup single on Dirtybird, lead to that single going top 5 on Beatport through pure word of mouth - no ads, a secret release with no press, and it had gone top 10 in the tech-house chart before Beatport decided maybe the track should have some advertising...
As the Scatterblog review of Riva's career says ... "It's not like he has a big trademark bassline, or some sort of analog synth style (although he does have some mad analog synths), instead he incorporates a range of different sounds. It seems like the main thing that ties each song together is just that each one has an awesome hook of some kind. Music is all about having a cool sounding something these days, it's not about ripping out some big guitar solo, or having a really musically sound piece (how many songs are based around three notes these days, but sound fresh as), Riva Starr is easily on top of all that..."
What's next? A follow-up on Southern Fried with a Derrick Carter rmx. A new sampleadelic track Maria on Get Physical's Kindisch records that is already doing damages worldwide reaching the top 10 on the Beatport house chart, a new single on Jesse Rose’MADE TO PLAY... <br />Collaborations with London's underground scene. A few remixes due out during the summer. And a new label, Snatch! - for the stripped-back musical types who aren't ashamed to get their rave on...
“…i’m usually a safe guy – but if u touch my knobs you can expect me to crack your skull open…” (Riva Starr – drunk mode - Brick Lane, 2003)

Episode 84 Justin Long (dotbleep)

Justin Long, one of Chicago‚s house music pioneers, began DJing at the young age of 15. His early musical influences ranged from Joy Division and Depeche Mode to the Sex Pistols. In 1988, Justin discovered house music on WBMX radio, which directed him into the world of house music where he has helped shape the Chicago House sound into what it is today. During the past 15 years, Justin has accomplished more than most could imagine in the house music industry. In the early 90‚s, Justin began DJing at underground events
throughout the Midwest with the likes of Derrick Carter, Cajmere and Traxx. Soon thereafter, more gigs followed and Justin‚s name became synonymous with Chicago House music. In 1999, Justin was the founding DJ on Chicago‚s Q101 Sonic Boom Radio; one of the longest running mix shows in the United States and is now preparing to start .dotbleep radion on xm radios the move. While touring for the past nine years, Justin has made frequent visits throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Europe, including repeat visits to
headline UK venues such as Back to Basics, Sub Club, Fabric and Circus. In addition, Justin has made countless guest appearances and held residencies in Chicago‚s best nightclubs such as Red Dog, 112 Green Street, Karma, Slick‚s Lounge, Mamby and Zentra. Currently, Justin hosts a monthly residency at SmartBar which is one of Chicago‚s premier house events entitled .Dotbleep. In the studio, Justin is working closely with Dan X under the moniker "No Assembly Firm". Together, Justin and Dan have completed over two dozen projects including original and remix work for highly acclaimed record labels such as Classic, Music For Freaks, Junior Boys Own, Aroma, Cajual, Robsoul, Greens Keepers Music and many more. Justin and Dan perform together frequently, headlining venues across the globe.
These sounds and performances have captured a cult following and can be heard in regular rotation worldwide on "The Move" on XM radio. Along with performing and producing, Justin works in conjunction with 20:20 Vision to run his own record label, .Dotbleep Recordings which features artists such as: Derrick Carter, Natural Rhythm, Sawtooth Sucka, Trade Marq and Phil Weeks. In it‚s early stages, .Dotbleep has drawn quite a bit of attention and looks to follow it‚s Chicago successors, Cajual and Classic. Justin continues to push the boundaries of house music, while constantly refining himself as an artist.

Episode 82 Audiojack (20:20 VIsion)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2321812.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />we are proud to welcome the first in a month long series featuring the wonderful artists of Blue COllar entertainment. today... please welcome to the decks........ Audiojack.

With a musical presence and maturity beyond their experience Audiojack are arguably one of the most talented and exciting electronic music acts to develop in recent years.

Signed to Ralph Lawson’s 20:20 Vision Recordings for their original productions and forthcoming debut album and with remixes under their belt for labels such as Renaissance, CR2, Leftroom, Great Stuff and Audio Therapy Audiojack have proved a unique ability to produce credible underground music whilst appealing to a wide enough audience to surpass the sales and airplay of many of their peers.

Their music has gathered an enviable and varied list of international DJs who support their sound including Groove Armada, Sasha, Carl Cox, Deep Dish, Paul Woolford, Lee Burridge, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, Timo Maas, Erol Alkan, Luciano, Steve Lawler, Craig Richards, Meat Katie, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier and Danny Tenaglia.

Their first original production ‘Robot’ released on Leftroom Limited dominated leading DJs sets on release and has sold over ten thousand vinyl and digital copies. Robot was also nominated for ‘Best British Single of 2006’ in DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards.

Debuting with such a big production meant a big follow up and when the guys were asked by Paul Woolford to remix his recent underground classic ‘Erotic Discourse’ they didn’t disappoint, creating another track which has seen massive global coverage with plays from most of the aforementioned artists and many more.

Their debut EP on 20:20 Vision featuring the tracks White Noise, Coastline and Quicksand achieved status as one of 20:20 Vision’s best selling EP’s of 2007. Remixes of tracks such as Idiots, Erotic Discourse, Hijacked, Zum Zum and Stabbing Sally have all featured in Beatport’s top 10 covering all genres whilst selling equally well on other vinyl and digital release portals. Audiojack have also remixed for Underworld on their record ‘Holding the Moth’ which was released on their recent Japan compilation ‘The Bells The Bells’.

Audiojack’s music takes influence from various styles and is typically hard to categorize. Their music appears in shops and magazine reviews under many styles – house, progressive house, minimal, techno, breaks, electro and tribal have all covered their productions, interestingly 4 of those genres covered 1 remix in the same magazine issue!

But it isn’t just their productions which are receiving such critical acclaim. Their ability to work as a team at the highest level is best seen in their live DJ performances, which to date has incorporated over 200 performances in more than 30 countries.

Alongside regular UK appearances Audiojack have performed on 5 continents internationally in countries such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Mexico, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine and United States.

Alongside releasing original material on 20:20 Vision, Audiojack are label managers at their own imprint U.F.O (Underground Frequency Organization). A sub label of 20:20 Vision, U.F.O acts not only as a second stable to release their own material but also for other artists who compliment the labels sound.

With their debut album set for release in early 2009 alongside ongoing remixes and much more international touring set for the future, Audiojack continue to build their reputation as one of the most consistent and successful electronic music acts breaking ranks today.

Episode 83 NOICE! Presents P toile's Perfect Circle with Special Guest: Lucy

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2309157.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />P toile returns to NOICE this month with a very special guest. please welcome Lucy (Stroboscopic Artefacts, Ware, Meerestief)

about the Artist:
Lucy aka Luca Mortellaro was born in Palermo, Italy, in 1983. At 16, he embarked on his journey of musical creation, experimenting firstly with analog synths. From these humble beginnings he started performing as a DJ, creating a name for himself as an underground artist in Italy. Once he moved to Paris in 2006 he decided to fully dedicate his life to electronic music. Lucy attracted interest from several labels and in 2007 had his first releases.

These early tracks drew the attention of renowned artists including James Holden. It was Holden who introduced Lucy's work to Raphael Ripperton, prompting Ripperton to immediately release "Glass Computer" on his influential label, Perspectiv Records. Through invitations to remix tracks for leading artists such as Gui Boratto, labels like Tic Tac Toe Records and featuring on Fabric 38 mixed by M.A.N.D.Y, Lucy garnered his international reputation. In 2007 he was warmly welcomed aboard Meerestief Records, a relationship that has allowed him to continually develop his musical identity with several EPs. Significantly, Meerestief also invited Lucy to compile and mix the Submerge CD, released in February 2009.

Collaborations with cutting-edge labels such as Curle Recordings, ProgCity Deep Trax and the aforementioned Meerestief has led to hotly anticipated forthcoming work on Ware and Time Has Changed Records to name but a few. Lucy, supported by giants of electronic music such as Steve Lawler, Derrick May, Laurent Garnier, Agoria, James Holden, John Digweed and more, is confirmed as one of the most interesting newcomers in the underground scene.

Episode 80 Vlad Caia (Horizontal, Romania)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2279394.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />we continue our wonderful series within the wonderful country of Romania this week with Vlad Caia. a true star on the rise.... enjoy your weekend... and stay NOICE!

Vlad Caia Bio

His musical exploration dates back from his childhood days. He was influenced by a bunch of people who had the music in their blood. They had the gear, he had the time. They opened his eyes to the world of how sound sculpting can be achieved. Vlad started exploring tones and percussion sounds, as well as synthesizer programming in all its exotic glory. All of these determined him to pursue classical piano training.

Years passed and by the time Vlad was in high school he got his hands on his first hardware sequencer along with one tiny midi keyboard. He started producing for the first time. During this process he learned the basics that laid the ground for future work. The concept of music production on a basic home computer hit him like a storm, thus during the years that followed, tracks and all kind of "weird" experimentation began to take shape. He began to get involved in different projects, from working with different hip-hop artists to even having his own band.

At the same time his musical perspective was influenced by the fresh emerging club scene in Romania, and he paid more attention to artists promoting this electronic sound. He was lucky enough to objectively observe the different periods of clubbing culture and the sounds that were played and how everything evolved. This led him to study electronic music even more, to go back to the roots, to find the real groove that will suit him best.

He could never say that he belongs to a specific genre or a certain sound. There will always be bits and pieces and influences from everything, everywhere, from minimal house and techno to the funkier, discoish twisted soulful sound; Vlad believes in versatility.

In the present day you can find him in the studio working on tracks and projects both solo and together with other producers. He hopes to maintain and consolidate his artist identity in the future

Episode 79 Mihalis Safras (Trapez Ltd)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2273727.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />To help Support his upcoming release on The legendary Trapez Label... Please welcome the Amazingly talented Mihalis Safras..... This set is absolutely Siiiiick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not much to say about the athenian DJ/producer and mastermind behind the Material Series.
''Mihalis Safras is concidered to be one of the most high-profiled artists and the most productive techno producer on the planet.'' (DJ Mag245)
He started his career by djing in 1997 to some of the most notorious venues in Athens (Berlin, +Soda, Umatic, Venue) the period when a new electronic age was starting. Quite soon and after many years of successful djing he recognized djing wasn’t enough!

Mihalis appears on at least a dozen 12-inches every year, establishing himself as one of world's most accredited producers through sheer will. The hard work has paid off in the form of releases on celbrated labels like Trapez, Great Stuff Recordings, Soma Quality Recordings, BPitch Control which had proven that he hasn't run out of creative gas. Furthermore he has collaborated for remixes on Ali Dubfire's 'Roadkill' and for a special mix on Britney Spears 'Breathe'.

Mellowing his style as times goes by, getting more experimental and spacey with a fresh style of his own, Mihalis’s production is destined to the wiser dancefloors and most of his vinyls receive international awareness by reaching into charts of the biggest DJs like Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Adam Beyer, Ricardo Villalobos and many more.

His astonishing discography and the friendship with the UK 'master' Mark Broom lead in 2006 to the birth of his own label and one of the best techno labels these days, Material Series. A smooth label built on the idea of releasing groovy club tunes with material names, all in coloured 12' vinyl. Material Series presents not only Mihalis' ideas on techno but also famous respected artists that included on Material roster. Also in mid of 2007 Material's 'sister' label, Playmobil, was born to embrace more melodic techno lovers.

DJ-wise, his trade relies on housey & funky techno or what he describes as 'techno combining the hard and funky edges of the groovy minimal'. Travelling and speading his tricky sound around the globe, from Yellow (Tokyo) to Avalon (NY) he becomes a milestone of the international techno circuit.

<itunes:summary>To help Support his upcoming release on The legendary Trapez Label...

Once more expect much from Mihalis in 2010!

Episode 77 Phil Kieran (Cocoon)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2252432.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />Many of you heard the first part of his Mix on Protonradio.com and Pulseradio.net today. well there was an unreleased Mix made for the show where Phil Talks about his New Album "Ssh". Join us as we present this very special Podcast with Cocoon Recording artist: Phil Kieran.

About the Artist:

Phil Kieran has been in the upper echelons of the electronic music game for more than a decade, but is only now releasing his debut album under his own name.

Known for rocking clubs and releasing a string of killer twelves, Belfast-based Phil has hooked up with German powerhouse Cocoon in recent times. Sven Väth’s label is now about to release Shh, a groundbreaking piece of work that will undoubtedly gain Phil plaudits across the board.

Shh seems to not only reference every sound Phil has ever loved in music, but is formulated in a completely fresh and futuristic way. Listen carefully and you can detect elements of dub reggae, old hardcore like LFO, hip-hop, early 90s electronica such as Autechre/Black Dog and other Warp staples, as well as the futuristic techno that Phil excels in.

For the album Phil went back to old sound lab recordings dating back to the 1950s and 60s. Utilising some of these sounds in the initial construction, he built up tracks using a combination of old samples sourced from original and weird places and some live new instrumentation as well. There are live drums, some electric/acoustic/bass guitar and live keyboard playing as well as some choice guest vocalists.

“I tried to use all my knowledge from when I first got into music to try and make an album that captures everything I’ve ever loved about music,” Phil says.

Phil has synthesized his myriad of influences into one radically beautiful whole: blissed-out vocal samples, space age electro, cavernous bleeps, fizzy technoid 4/4 beats, glistening glitches, crackers crackles, early R&S sounds, warm keys, acerbic bassline undertows, dense echoes, Orbital cinematics and randy robotics all feature, but really this is an album far greater than the sum of its parts. It’s very much a home or car listening album, perfect for post-club play, although plenty of the individual tracks contain discerning dancefloor dynamics too.

Cutting his clubbing teeth at Shine in Belfast, Phil now has over 100 dancefloor releases to his name on quality labels like Skint, Soma and NovaMute, and is widely respected throughout the industry among the technoscenti. He’s also recently broken into movie scoring, creating the soundtrack for recent Steven Soderbergh film The Girlfriend Experience with fellow Irish compatriot David Holmes.

To exorcise some demons a few years ago he created a live techno punk band Alloy Mental, variously melding Joy Division basslines onto pummeling punky T.Raumschmiere-style technoid power-drivers. He also has an impeccable DJ rep that’s won him placings in DJ magazine’s global Top 100 DJs poll, and a guarantee to promoters that he’ll inevitably rock the joint to its foundations.

But now Phil has just entered the next phase in his career. Shh won’t be a secret for long: it’s almost certain to take its place amongst not only the albums of the year, but as one of the landmark releases of the last two decades.

Episode 76 Livio & Roby (Desolat // Cecille Numbers)

<img src="http://noice.podOmatic.com/mymedia/thumb/1179546/0x0_2238051.jpg" alt="itunes pic" /><br />we Begin our Quest through October with the first of a 4 part series on Romanian DJ's. Today we Welcome the Amazing Talents of Desolat and Cecille recording artists: Livio & Roby....
We are NOICE! and we love Romania.

Livio & Roby are two Romanian producers and DJs which met in 2004 and joined forces to become production partners. They formed a very strong connection in their musical taste and style. It didn't take that long when they made their first track together, "Bitter Sweet" which was heavily supported by many respected DJs. With a great understanding of what rocks a dance floor and exceptional production skills they were soon making and remixing tracks on a regular basis. With tracks and remixes appearing on Global Underground and Rennaissance compilation albums on a regular basis, Livio & Roby were starting to get the exposure they really needed. Ministry of Sound and Cocoon compilation are the one they signed tracks the latest. These two guys have made their own sound and they call it house. Their “Monochrome” project, which also includes George G, brought the band both global prizes at the Heineken Music Thirst Studio Global Session competition! Surprisingly, when Gabriel & Dresden announced the awards, Livio & Roby feat. George G found out they got the both prices: The Global Winners and The People’s Choice Award. Being the Romanian winners of the local competition in 2006, 2007 got them in Las Vegas to represent their country and, of course, South Eastern Europe. Magazines like DJ Mag and Juice described their sets at Tao Beach and Tao Club as "highlights of the weekend". By the end of 2007 they saw themselfs "traped" in the studio producing tracks for their first album called Monochrome - "Children of House FWD 01" [Ido Music] which was celebrated in Romania with an amazing album launch party at Studio Martin and will soon be available worldwide. Their work finally pays off! This year will be the year for Livio & Roby to make a huge name for themselves on the underground music scene.
